Been awhile. We finally went through all Vito’s paintings and weeded out those we did not want to keep. Among the ones we kept, I arranged some of them on walls with themes. Still have a few left, but here are a couple of pics.
I wish I had his ambition. I've been trying to get into a 'painting frame of mind' since Xmas. He did a nice job on the still life, they are not easy to do. I've never tired one; maybe I should. Jars and fruit are just not subjects that hold my interest, so don't look for one.
I keep telling myself I should look into a local art club for some motivation.
The first fish painting was just hung in Vito’s bath. There is a dolphin theme in there (toilet seat, shower curtain, and another painting) because dolphins are the symbol of the Navy submarine force. The second has been in my bathroom for quite some time. It matches the green wall although the photo does not show that.
The painting of the cottage was done from a photo I took in the lovely little village of Cove, on Lach Long in Scotland. Vito went on a business trip there when he was still active duty and I tagged along. It is one of my favorites. It was a great trip. I can’t remember what inspired the painting of the seacoast town. Will ask.

Thank you, Deb!
And, thank you in advance for asking Vito about the painting of the seacoast town. It reminds me of a jigsaw puzzle that I have. I think the puzzle was of an area in Italy, maybe the Amalfi Coast or Cinque Terre. I would have to check my puzzle, which is downstairs in the basement. I thought that perhaps Vito's painting was also of an area in Italy.
