Lots of auto museums in the midwest. Also the Thompson Collection in Cleveland, OH and there's a museum near Kalamazoo, MI run by the Classic Car Club of America. You might have to be a member of the club to get in the latter. There are several private collections near Chicago that I've had the privilege to view.

Wasn't familiar with the Packard museum in Canton. The Henry Ford Museum and Grenfield Village in Dearborn, MI take a complete day to go through.
