Excellent. Tonight I'll write about posting to S2KI. (Unless someone beats me to it.)

Sam

Now that you've uploaded your photos to your computer you can upload the photos that you want to post to S2KI. You can now also delete the photos from the camera and free up the space on the memory stick.

In order to upload to S2KI you have to create an album.

1. Go into "MYS2K". On the left side there is a column titled "MY S2K Menus". The first or second link here is "Your Albums". Click on "Your Albums"

2. After you've gotten into the "Your Albums" page scroll to the bottom. You will find a button titled "Create Album". Click on this button.

3. The page that opens will have a slot for "Album name" and "Album Description". Fill in both of these slots. If you want to allow everyone to have access to view the photos that you are going to put in this album click the "Public" box that appears to put a check into it. If you want to restrict viewing (of this album) leave the box uncheck.

4. When you've finished, click on the button "Create Album". This will create the album and return you the the "Your albums" page.

5. Once back in the "Your Albums" page you will see your album and to the lower right of it you will see the links "Edit-Delete-View-Upload". Click on upload. You will see a slot titled "Image to upload" with a button marked "browse" click on the button.

6. Direct this slot to the directory on your computer (My Pictures) where the photo is, find the photo and double click on it.

7. If you have the photo location and file name in the slot after double clicking, click on the botton marked "Post Image"

8. This will upload your photo to your album. When you do your next post you will see a slot at the bottom of the screen marked "Choose an Album". Down arrow and select your album. Your photo will appear as a thumbnail. If you click on the thumbnail it will insert your photo into the post.

You are done. This method uploads a single photo at a time. I have had no luck in uploading multiple photos. I'll try again this weekend and let you know if it works.

Good luck

The other thing you may want to try is buying a USB reader, something like this:

You just plug the media in (that particular one can accept 8 different types of media - SDRAM, Compact Flash, etc) and it looks like just another hard disk to your pc. I find this the easiest way to get the pics from my camera to the pc. It is also much faster.

That one is from Best Buy and is $40 US.

i have one that reads compactflash and the sony memory sticks. it is much more convienent (and faster) than plugging in the camera and going through all the software.

I have an interesting problem. I have some video files that are AVI's that will play on my Dell Desk Top PC from the hard drive, thumb drive or from the CD that I burned them too. However, some of them, will not play on my IBM Thinkpad T40, If I try to open them in Windows media player V 8.0 or now V10.0 I only hear the audio.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like those AVI files are really DivX and you need to install the right codec...???

??? Would DivX play in Windows Media Player V9.0? Although I do have Divx player loaded on the desktop. Does it act as a plug in to Media Player?
