Then the bill came in from comcast, we phoned and reminded them that we no longer had their service. Another month, another bill, another month and an ever increasing bill. It seemed that our conversations with them were of no consequence. Eventually we took the drive to the most local of their stores. The assistant was a bit "prickly" at first and then when they saw all the info on our account there was an attitude change. Now we wait - will there be another bill this month or will we get the $74.00 refund the store said we were owed. We are waiting with baited breath and vowing to never, never, never deal with comcast again.
Thai is why they have the worst customer service, ever. Give em hell.

I see they updated my current billing online and it's still $10 too high. This time they did a much more detailed breakdown and I see they are also charging me $10 for high speed download service (150mbs) which I don't need, as I don't download movies, etc.

Sooooooooo, it will mean another call. But, instead I think I go into their local office which isn't far away.

Thanks Catherine for suggesting the local office as they seem to be trying to become an Apple store of sorts with a modern layout and better staffing. One really has to be their own advocate when dealing with Comcast and take good notes. Also, their latest detailed online breakdown was helpful. Turns out the prior Rep up'd my download speed from 75 to 150 without asking or mentioning it. I don't need it so that saved me $10. And, the local Rep took off another charge of $16.88 which he said was in error since I was already being charged $10 for the X1 box.

If nothing else changes I will have reduced my bill $67/mo without any change in service. And its good for 2 years.

Surprise, the surprise our refund check has arrived. Now we are waiting to see if we get another bill but I don't think we will. Dave, I'm glad the office helped you out. We had years where we had no option but comcast, are you in the same position and therefore have to use them?

No, I've had AT&T available for 3 or 4 years but even with their promo pricing they cost more for the same coverage. Plus, the friends I know said they came back to Comcast as AT&T service wasn't any better. I've been with Comcast for 10 years and have had both very terrible and very good service from them.
