Discussion on Television Programs
I started binge watching City on a Hill on Prime. It stars Kevin Bacon. First season with 10 episodes. Beware, it is only available on Prime till 1/11/21.
Set in the ‘90s in Boston’s Irish hood in hits all the buttons for a Showtime channel drama – violence, murder, swearing, sex, robbery, racism, police corruption, religion issues, and criminal justice system issues. Hope I didn’t miss anything.

Anyone been watching HIS DARK MATERIALS on HBO? I've been enjoying that one. Took me an episode or two to get into it but it is interesting -- parallel dimensions, witches, strange happenings. The acting and cast are really good.
I'll have to check that out. HBO has a lot of new series but everytime I find one I like it is in a different language with English subtitles.
I started binge watching Orange Is The New Black a few days ago and am still on Season 1 and there are 7 Seasons. It ran on Netflix from 2013 to 2019.
I am late to the party but now I see why it was nominated for so many awards. I need to watch something else afterwards, though. Going to be with a head full of prison disrupted my sleep.

Yes it is an excellent story line very well written but extremely brutal. I remember when it first aired my girlfriend at the time was living with me and we would watch The Soprano's together and Oz came on after that and she would go in the other room. J.K. Simmons was one of the main characters and he got voted one of the most evil t.v. villians of all time for his role in the show.
I get so aggravated with the foreign language/subtitled stuff -- do not enjoy subtitled programs at all. I watched the first season on demand and after an episode or two really began to enjoy it. I still have the last episode of season 2 recorded and haven't watched it. Season 3 will come out whenever ---- sometime next year, I guess. It was interesting and I really enjoyed it. Oh, Robb, Masterpiece has a new show starting tonight (I think) called ELIZABETH IS MISSING. Looks like it'll be fun to watch.
