Love on Iceland, an HM movie, I really liked the scenery, makes you want to visit but I hate the cold enough as it is.

If you would like a nice break from reality tv (yeah, all the bad news) I can recommend a series that just started on PBS called All Creatures Great and Small. Set in the late 1930 it centers around two vets, the old pro and the new assistant, at a time when cars are replacing horses and life on the farm is changing.

I was binge watching Orange is the New Black but it was giving me uncomfortable dreams. I'm now binge watching Grace and Frankie and it's better for before bed viewing.

Loved Grace and Frankie and think it was a good departure from all the dark and sinister stuff that's out there, Patty. Ive found there a lot of programs I can't watch at night or I have sleep issues and bad dreams. One of the programs that really disturbed my sleep was Criminal Minds.

We refused to watch Criminal Minds as well. Gave that up years ago.

With a name like Criminal Minds, I wouldn't even think to look at it. I'm very sensitive to violence and crazy humans. Always have been.

Is this the original series from the 70's/80's or a new one? I watched All Creatures Great & Small with my parents on PBS when I was a kid.

Criminal Minds was just too disturbing. We gave up on it. If humans are that bad, I don't want/need a front row seat.

I think that's what I found so disturbing, Lainey. I tried watching that fairly new program, Prodigal Son. Nope, nope, and nope. Wayyyyy too evil for me. I have a really hard time thinking that the nice looking folks I'm seeing when I'm out taking a walk or who are walking down the street may be plotting and scheming on how to murder someone else in a horribly gruesome fashion. With that said, I am kind of hooked on watching FBI and FBI Most Wanted. They don't usually show the gruesome stuff and the programs are more procedural. Besides those network programs I watch House Hunters and House Hunters International. I have to record them and watch later so I can ff past commercials. It seems they have a run of at least 15 commercials every 5 minutes.
