I don't understand why one would send a text message instead of just calling. Since so many people seem to, I guess I'm really behind the times. But what's the advantage to texting instead of calling?
its cheaper than using minutes. If you learn T-9 word you will be able to type text very quickly. My charge for unlimted text is 5$ versus the 600+ minutes I would use talking.

We do it infrequently.....mostly with our kids when they are out of the country. Kathy likes using text messages more than me

[QUOTE=martha,Sep 24 2007, 03:29 PM]Doubtful unless it's broad leaves with notes written on it!

As long as they aren't smoking it in the classroom, I don't care.
That's useful information should I decide to audit one of your classes after I move to the Villages.

Here's another tip for you: Sit in the back of the room in what I call slacker row and bring your own Oreos.

There are cookies in your class? Save me a space in that "slacker row."

Students bring all sorts of food to class, so you don't need to sit in the back. Raymo was looking for weed and his chances are much better of finding it on slacker row. A couple of students have come to class reeking of the stuff, so much so that I've gotten the munchies about halfway through class.
