Ride it on a weekday and you'll see very little traffic. I went through it on a Thursday in April. Saw maybe 4 cars and no bikes going the other way on my one pass through. I'd have made a few more runs but the rear tire on my m/c was on its last legs and I barely made it back to Texas before it was down to the cord.

I don't understand Tennessee's reluctance to prohibit large truck from using that road.
