In 2008 the US Mint offered a Bald Eagle Half Dollar commemorative coin with mom on the obverse and two eaglets on the reverse.

 

Bumping this thread for another eagle webcam, this time in Iowa: Decorah Eagles

I linked/mentioned it some time ago, but no one else expressed any interest, so thought I would try again. The eagle pair are now putting the finishing touches on their nest, and come and go quite often. Since this is in a much colder climate than the Florida pair, hatching/fledging will happen later in the spring.

Here is a video capture from this morning. Notice that the male is just lounging around until about the 3:40 mark when the female flies in, and suddenly, he starts to get busy. Looks like mom is the boss of this nest!

^^ They're beautiful, Gene. The eagle tree in our little subdivision had to be cut down. Everyone in the hood is very sad about it and the eagles have been flying around a lot lately looking for another roost.

 

Just checked in. Nobody home.

 

There has not been any activity in the nest, that I have seen, since I posted the link. They have another nest nearby, so they must be using that one until they complete this one.
