I echo the comments about your place. It certainly is beautiful, and it's nice to see the whole family working together.
I, too, have a leaf "problem" and am considering getting one of these. My neighbor has a similar Sears vacuum/mulcher which I have borrowed for the last couple of years, but I think it's time I got my own. The nice thing about these is that they mulch the leaves to about a 7 to 1 ratio, so you have lots less bulk to contend with.
I am also considering the Gutter Helmet, since my gutters are constantly clogging up. I have never heard of anyone using them, so your experience is helpful.

I think we were able to get our Gutter Helmet so cheaply for three reasons:
1. The franchisee was new and wanted the business.
2. We and our nextdoor neighbors had them installed at the same time. We negotiated together.
3. My roof is not complicated. We don't have many peaks. As I remember from a picture of Carmen's house, he has many more peaks.
If you do get Gutter Helmet make sure that they install them under the last shingle. The contractors like to cut corners and simply put them on top. That is not the correct installation. We insisted that ours be done properly. If you can get them for a reasonable price, they are worth every penny. They really work.

But you do have a beautiful house. And, a three car garage. If I had that I'd buy another TD.

Yes, Carmen, your house is lovely. Stone houses are my favorite. I owned an old fieldstone house with a slate roof...it looked like an English country house. I really wanted to move that house when I relocated to the lakefront not far away, but of course I couldn't.

I thought that we were all finished with fall cleanup. We had worked like dogs the last two weeks raking, mowing and blowing the leaves. On Wednesday and Thursday of this week we had a windstorm up here in Northern Jersey. For the most part we escaped, but one tree fell over and crashed unto our swings.
I had built this swing set for my oldest son Andrew when we had our house in Woodstock, and when we moved to New Jersey we took it with us. The tree did some damage.
So, there was nothing to do but to get out my trusty chainsaw
and safety equipment
and cut the tree into fireplace size pieces. Adam wheeled the cut up pieces to the woodstack
but sometimes he overloaded the wheelbarrow.
. E.W.A. stacked the firewood.
.
Tomorrow I have to fix the broken swing set. Adam still uses it. .
After we finished Adam and I changed the oil on the S. I think we're finally finished with fall cleanup. All things considered we were pretty lucky. The damage could have been a lot worse.
