Even if I had tried to turn off the car going 55 mph when the light came on.... I would have been to late....

The light and noise from the engine compartment happened about the same second, and that was after the car lost power.

 

Please do insist that they give you a new car, non-matching numbers is usually not a good thing.

 

OK... just got off the phone with the dealer's GM....

He is going to try and secure that black 3.8 track in NJ.... only one in his network of 175 dealers with a manual tranny!

Going to get me a NEW car!!!!

Superior Hyundai North just made me a happy customer!

He told me that if this had happened 6 months later, it would have been a different story.

I totally agree..... the GM told me he understands where I was coming from requesting a new vehicle. Didn't have to even say anything to him, he just came out and said he would get it done!

If this trade goes off without any surprises.... I will give the dealership the most praise and referrals I have ever given to anyone/anyplace!!!!
