I run an IMac 27 in Houston, but here in Colorado I only have a two year old PC. So I have just begun to think about the Windows 10 update question personally. I'm not sure, but it may be too late for me to reserve a free Windows 10 download. The deadline may have been included in the above posts, but I need to find out.

Jim, I just signed up within the last few days and there was no mention of a time limit. Give it a shot and see what happens.

You have to upgrade within a year of release (July 29) to get the free copy, so seems you have plenty of time. It may go longer than that.

There does appear to be a downside of the win 10 upgrade.
If you change the hardware, be prepared to have to get a new copy of the license.

Personally, I think you should run TRS80 Basic.

You have a year to upgrade free (if you qualified for the free upgrade, that is).

If you have a licensed copy of Win 7 or 8.x, the license should work with the upgrade when you change hardware. You simply install the licensed copy of Win 7, then do the upgrade.
