Default A GPS Warning

If you have your home address set in your GPS a word of warning.

Rick had a customer today. Her purse containing her GPS was stolen, along with her car keys/house keys.

The $$## thieves actually went to her home, let themselves into her car and ransacked it...they didn't do anything else, maybe they got scared off.

Now the woman needs a new ignition and locks as well as keys for her vehicle, not a small expense in the day of "chipped" keys. Obviously, she needed to have her home locks re-keyed as well.

A major expense, a major inconvenience, not to mention likely being creeped out by the whole thing.

Not sure if this has been posted here before, but thought I'd share.

My new "home" address is now the local gas station, not far from the police station.

OH sure, I just set my home position on my new car. So now it can be stolen driven to my home, load up all the s2ki collectibles and drive away.

Home is a quarter mile from the house.

getting to the street address doesn't help much.

Zippy, women often don't have clothing with large pockets.

I never leave the GPS in the car, it's often in my purse, or another small bag with other stuff like my camera.....

I'm sure if they had her purse, she likely had other ID/address info in it, and the GPS was just icing on the cake, helping the scum bags find their way.

Jerry, you live with the woodland creatures.

Now that I think of it, I didn't need to change it. My GPS does not get us home. It thinks there is a through street through the park next to us and there isn't.
