I thought of that after the fact too, Al.

Our registration is in the car, our address is on our licenses. If the bad guys get a purse with keys, they are ready to go.

The GPS would make it easier IF, it knew how to find our house....

You are required to have that in the car, just on the off chance that you are stopped for some ridiculous reason, like going 85 in a school zone.

Can't keep it "on our person" as we drive each other's vehicles. I think most leave their registration in the vehicle.

Folks?

No need for that!

Years ago they told people not to keep registrations in the vehicle, BUT if you have more than one driver, you stand the chance of some one getting stopped and not having proof of registration on them. The plate would show as valid when the police "run" the plate, but better to have all paperwork if you get stopped.

If anyone wants to know where I live they just have to look it up in the phone book. But, if they want to go to the trouble they can break into every car as it has a registration in it. But if they want the quickest route they are going to have to use a map because my GPS is at home where it is safe.
