Has anyone else noticed
I guess I'm in the minority here, but except for the initial slow response, the upgrade or its look hasn't bothered me. I still can easily check on the few forums I frequent. I do miss the badges and the user's ID (Location, etc.) below their avatar.
I haven't been on as much in the past several years, so it doesn't really bother me. I do not find as many topics of interest as I did when the forum was newer. I don't really have any complaints about the upgrades except I miss "MyS2k" but it isn't that big of a deal. I guess I'd be more keenly interested in things if there were meets that I planned to attend, but everything is just too far north for me or just not as interesting since I'm not uberkeen on 50 hours of seat time. I guess its just like being married for a long, long time . . . its nice that its around and it becomes more taken for granted.
I'm on a lot less lately for a number of reasons.
1. The forums are pretty quiet to begin with. I'm less likely to repond to an old thread or even start new ones when the place is so quiet.
2. Lots of the old timers have left or don't come around much.
3. Other interests take up my time including other forums such as British cars and boating/fishing.
4. I'm trying to knock off a few pounds so I try to get on the treadmill at night rather than sit behind the computer.
5. Work has picked up quite a bit, so I have little time to log on during the day.
6. Family events take up weekend time.
