"sh-t happens". Not necessarily bad sh-t. I still enjoy coming here, but my participation in meets has dwindled considerably, so I'm not bonding in person with many of my buds the way I used to. Relationships have been taken offline. There are some other factors for me personally, but those are best left private.
Once again, Deb, you've summed my feelings way better than I can do. Much of the really enjoyable things about the forum have fallen by the wayside. The personal relationships have changed with time and there are other factors that are best left private for me as well. I'd like to attend a good meet sometime in the future, but nothing is being planned that I can make anytime soon.

If they are truly private, I understand. If they are only controversial, hey....even Granny might come back to ????

One thing I don't like about the upgrade is the font size. I wish it was standard at size 3 and I didn't have to change it to get size 3. It's not much larger but it's easier on my Vintage eyes.

Size 3:

That's according to you but I have another thought that with what you are saying that we would be having trouble but that too can be different from the others. But I liked your comment.
^^ What?

My first thought is that perhaps jemiesranova's first language is not English as I noticed from her (?) profile that she(?) lives in Canada. Perhaps, her native language is French. I noticed from her profile that she is also only 25 years old.

Perhaps, what she is saying is that younger people can read smaller font better than vintage people. Perhaps, what she means is that different size fonts work better for different eyes.

I suppose whether a particular font might be easier or harder to read might depend on whether you are near-sighted or far-sighted or whether you have presbyopia.

For example, I must wear my reading glasses to read just about anything now. However, goblueS2K must take his glasses off to read small type!

Hopefully, jemiesranova will come back and explain.

Well, not really sure if it is spam or not. But, on one site, it mentioned the possibility.

However, jemiesranova did seem to join a lot of different forums all within the last few weeks and has posted frequently.

Fell in love with a great girl who lives a few miles away - i'd much rather spend my time with her in person and virtually then post on s2k while we are work on our future together

further - everything has been asked and answered - this place just doesn't seem to have the same comradery for me as it once had..

cheers
Steve

Glad to hear you are happy, Bass.

I still feel a connection here in Vintage, but it is true that it is not the same as in days gone by, mostly for the reasons Deb mentioned. I've been unable to attend any meets for the past couple of years. Life is good, but it has gotten in the way of some of the fun times. Family obligations are taking more of my time too.

I do miss those who have left the forum, or those who only participate on occasion, this place used to ROCK!

However, I have made friends here, I still can come here and ask questions, get advice and spend quality time with the friends I have here. I hope to meet up with these friends again at some point,(some are coming my way for Fall Crawl!!) I still have time to spend on the internet, and this is still where I prefer to spend that time.

Hope some of the folks who used to post will find the time to stop by and say hello.

I also take peruse the MB forums on occasion.
They tend to have a fairly restrictive topic structure it's strictly about the cars.
I don't ever recall any meets etc. And heaven forbid you recommend a product or service that's not a sponsor.

At least here in vintage, it's really is about the poeple and getting together.
We don't have the activity we had when the cars were newer.
It's a lot like moving to a new construction neighborhood,
in the beginning you have block parties and such but over time people settle into their own little social groups.
are we at that stage?

was the update simply a few days of cod weather, that kept everyone indoors?
let's just hope for warmer weather
