One of these days I might just build this model, or just leave it in the box. I was told it is decades old, so what's a few more years if I never get to it ? lol

Could be worth big bucks still in the box?

This one could be in the box a long time. Son & daughter got it for me several months ago. The Timiya is more my speed; guess I'm old school. I love the Alfa even if I didn't make it. I've watched dozen of videos of how the subassemblies were assembled and really appreciate it. How could you not, a straight eight engine that looks exactly like the real deal. I like the idea this has 1,432 pieces; so maybe some day or not.

Yes still in box, all parts and instructions, never really opened other than the lid. Still 100% in tact.

Nice find. I built the Tamiya 1/10 of the Tyrrell 6 wheeler after attending 1976 Glen race. Love the kit. Tamiya kits and paints were always the best. Like so many really detailed plastic kits it did not survive the passage of time. The current bid for that kit is $90. I also built the winning F1 McLaren of James Hunt by Tamiya for that same year. Like too many plastic models, they just did not hold up over the years. As soon as you started to handle them for dusting, etc. they started falling apart. Although I still have some rare plastic kits in boxes I have no attachment to them. If you don't spend hours building them, what good are they? Just toys never made in boxes. I still love the 1/24th scale but it's a thing of the past. None the less I still have a few dozen that have survived decades.

I really enjoy building the Lego kits. I have built 8 of the more complicate ones so far! I just have to watch and plan as to where they can go after they are assembled.
