Our forecaddy gave me a reading of 115, said keep it right of the pin. 115 is my gap wedge, spot on. I hit it, gets a little wind right to left, hit near the pin and hops left once, twice, then starts to roll. I get up there and I'm down in a collection area with 8 feet to get up to the green and hopefully hold it before it rolls back to me. Not fun. I prefer just normal rough around the green.
There were 3 holes like this where if you missed, it was really bad.
Overall, I had a great experience and if we won another chance there at another outing/charity event would absolute do it. Doesn't hurt that the member who donated included lunch and drinks during the round.

I love golf events like that. I play in one every 6 months. It is a 4 player scramble. We won last year with a score of 11 under. I had closest to pin, 1.5 feet and closest to line. Free breakfast and lunch. It was a very good day.
I play a bunch of scrambles - either I support the cause, the person running the event or its a course that the only way to play is via a charity scramble. My friends and I generally get raffle tickets/auction prizes to play other courses at those charity events.
Yesterday was a GC we won at one scramble to play a regular round. The hope is they donate another one for next year at the event we're playing in September. I much prefer to play my own ball and a regular round to a scramble, unfortunately, sometimes it's the only way to get onto an exclusive course.
I just love scrambles when you see scores in the 50's
Although I would frequently take home the long drive money.
In one shotgun start, it was my first swing of the day and I was first on the tee.
and that was that.
Hit and giggles are very bad for your game though. I find you can extend yourself and totally get out of your game tempo.
Especially if your the DH.
This one could be in the box a long time. Son & daughter got it for me several months ago. The Timiya is more my speed; guess I'm old school. I love the Alfa even if I didn't make it. I've watched dozen of videos of how the subassemblies were assembled and really appreciate it. How could you not, a straight eight engine that looks exactly like the real deal. I like the idea this has 1,432 pieces; so maybe some day or not.
I gave it to my grandson after he broke a hip. He had it done in one weekend.
^^They are addictive. Once I start assembly it is hard to walk away from. There were only a few that I had to stop on and that was because they had some really small parts and my hands were killing me.
Two years ago I was helping an older fellow out who needed some work done in his home. He was a bit of a recluse, and his unit showed it. I don't think he changed or upgraded anything in his home in the last 30+ years, and I had dealt with him most of those years. I arranged to help him out and he was very happy that he wasn't being charged for any of the work we agreed to do for him. A few minutes after I left his unit he came running out and shouted at me - " Hey Joe are you a fan of F-1 Racing ?" I said yeah I do like F1 racing. He told me that he had a model car kit that was brand new in box, that he never touched since 1970 or some crazy time like that. He brought it out to me and it was a Tamiya kit, of a Ferrari F1 race car. He was right, as it was brand new in box, it looked like it could be 30+ years old, but pretty much in mint condition. He never touched it in all of the years he had the kit, all the parts are in the kit. I offered to buy it from him but he insisted on giving it to me for free.
I brought it home and I need to build it one of these days, it is still as he gave it to me. Sadly he passed away last year.. It was one the kindest things I've ever experienced from people in my world, so I appreciate the gift because of how I received it.

That is it Dave, yes. Mine has been opened, like the top lid opens up. All of the parts are still wrapped up inside in their packaging, and all of the decals still on the sheets etc. Thanks for the picture and info., very cool.
