I enjoy driving in the snow, heavy snow is fun, in the warmth of my vehicle and it is great when the vehicle you are driving is sure footed. I'd much rather drive in snow than rain.

Agree. Unless dealing with city traffic in snow, I enjoy it. In big snowstorms in MN we of course would go out and hoon around in either the 4runner or the Taco. And the Blizzaks we have for both made it even better!

I agree with both of you. I really enjoy driving in fresh new snow, alone and not in traffic. I have had a lot of fun snow cars. The 2001 4Runners was pretty fun in the snow as well our 2016 4Runner. 2005 Subaru WRX Sti etc. But my favorite car to hoon around in the snow was my 1998 Subaru Forrester. Didn't have a lot of power but the way the weight was distributed throughout the car, and pretty light and AWD it was a frigging blast! No traction control in any way and I could toss that thing around and never seem to get into any situation I couldn't get out of. I would still have one if that generation didn't have non stop headgasket failures that pressurized the coolant system.

Yep, I did the "Andy Mod 2.0" on our 01 4runner a long time ago so I can turn off all the trac/stability stuff on it with a switch on the dash. Makes it a lot more fun

I guess I didn't spend much time on the forums so I never heard of the Andy Mod 2.0. But I will look that up if I get another one someday. The funny thing is that there are 4 other 3rd gen 4runners in my neighborhood. All of them looked to be in really good shape too.

Ours is getting rough underneath. It was a MN car its whole live until we moved in 2022. The body is pretty clean minus the corners of the rocker panels. Runs like a new one though still. And of course would love to find a good donor that needs a motor, but the motor is about the last thing that goes on these things!

Auctions are always amusing when 2 people really want something.
