Albinism occurs more often in domestic animals. Domestics are products of artificial selection (people breed them to bring out or eliminate certain traits) and are kept in fairly protected environments. Wild albinos don't tend to survive since predators can spot them so easily and albinos also tend to have poor eyesight because of the lack of pigmentation in the eye.
