raymo, raymo,

I just came in from taking more photos and I think I got some good ones for identifing. In one of them there are three different kinds, I think. I'll go get them ready to post.

Great news! I'll be watching for them. Did you check the last link I posted with the exotics? I need to ask Jerry about that Ecuador trip.

Man, I'm happy with these! I think I have 14 photos coming up.

^For starters, this is the back of the house showing the two feeders I stood near to take all of the following photos. The hummers were way more interested in emptying the feeders than watching me. I think I got peed on and buzzed.

I'll start with some red throated guys.

^I love this one!

VERY cool, Patty!

I can't wait until it's warm enough here for some to visit us.

^I think this one has three different species in it. It has a brownish one on the left, that I only saw here and in the one below.

^This one is the same as the one above it but cropped more to show off the underfeathers of the one on the left.

Thanks, Lainey. When I take them I don't really know what I'm getting so I was pleasantly surprised.

From what I've seen, there are no ruby throats in the mix. In the picture with the three species, I think you're looking at male and female Anna's; the interloper is an Allens's, and a beautiful specimen he is.

More please.

Thanks Patty,

What great pictures of hummers. We generally don't see ours until about May. We have been inspired and will put up four feeders this year.

I think that Hummingbirds invented the art of "Dog Fighting".

I'm glad you can tell what they are, raymo. I looked at the link and wrote down as possibilities, Anna's, Broad tailed, Rufous, and Allen's.

My pleasure, Matt. It is cool the way they fight. Especially the buzz and hum and they do it.

I think I'll put some of them in the Vintage Photo Thread too, so people that haven't visited this thread will see them too.
