Good for you! Keep going! I have heard that your taste bud will return eventually where you can appreciate taste of food that had been dulled by smoking. Stay strong!
Yes... sense of smell and taste improve over time!!!

On a side note.... so will you! (smell better that is!)

Day 24

I can absolutely vouch for the improvement in one's sense of smell. And it does not take very long following quitting, either. On the many occasions when I have been a non smoker for at least four weeks the first thing I notice is how bad heavy smokers smell of nicotine.

Keep up the good work.

I am guessing that your food taste better as well.

Fortunately, here in Virginia, which is a tobacco state and home to Phillip Morris, they have outlawed smoking in restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, that law does not apply to organizations like the Loyal Order of Moose in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I am fairly certain that the membership of Moose Lodges have increased since the law went into affect. I for one really dislike the fact that I cannot take advantage of my LOOM membership at home because I cannot stand the smoke. Fortunately when I visit my Mother in New York where the law applies I can enjoy a smoke free environment at her Moose Lodge. Where the drinks are inexpensive and the people are friendly.

Is anyone else a member of the Loyal Order Of Moose?

Mary is trying too. She started on the patch Saturday. I'm into day 5!
