your just about over the hump.
If I recall this stage correctly you having to deal with having a lot more energy.
from week 3 to about week 6, I was just bouncing off the walls and learning to deal with being a lot more hyper.

This morning, while waiting for the green to clear, I started to reach in my pocket for a cigarette. And I haven't smoked in 9 years.

Still not smoking. Into my third day, now. Nothing since last Thursday night. So far so good.

Good for you! Keep going! I have heard that your taste bud will return eventually where you can appreciate taste of food that had been dulled by smoking. Stay strong!

You've now beaten most of the physical effects of nicotine addiction. It's mostly behavioral for you from here on, although it may not feel entirely psychological at times.

Welcome to the party, Mark. We should make some kind of bet. Whoever cracks first gives the other one his car. (I miss the S.) As Dean said, the worst of the nicotine withdrawl symptoms hopefully are or soon will be behind you.

Just the opposite for us patchers. We avoid dealing with the physical withdrawl symptoms while working on the behavioral side. I am about to drop down to a 14mg patch. There will be a tough day or two before my brain adjusts to the new dosage but I am confident I will make it through.

You long term quitters are an inspiration. Thanks for your posts of encouragement.
