Sue, I started January 15th and have lost 15 pounds. I understand you have to take in less calories or burn more up. I have not been counting calories at all. According to the no carb diet that's not a big deal. In any case, I have the same breakfast every day - cereal w/half a banana. I know there's sugar in the cereal and carbs in the banana. I've no plans to change that. We have soup every day for lunch. I've no plans to change that. So that leaves dinner. I seldom ever eat salads - never been a fan of them besides most people who enjoy them put enough toppings on them that they defeat the purpose. Other than that I am left with whatever the +1 wants to serve for dinner. Yesterday it was fish with a real small serving of noodles plus green beans. In the evening when I needed to feed my bad habit of tv snacking I went all out. I had a kosher pickle and later a stick of celery with some cream cheese. I generally limit my alcohol to the weekends unless we go out for dinner. I try to eat the smallest portion of food at dinner since that seems to be the deal breaker. In any case, I'm on my 8th glass of warm water as I type this.

Goes down easy, doesn't it? I also find I'm more clear headed with a high water intake. It washes out the cob webs.

Thanks Bill, the Legal Bill Cleansing actually worked. Down 2 to 178.

I'm really surprised since I blew my diet at the same time - 1/2 bagel w/egg salad for lunch and two helpings of spaghetti at dinner.

Ha ha. Now you are going to think it is a dieting miracle. The first few days it has a pretty dramatic effect as decades of poison are flushed from your body. But combine it with an actual diet (not what you did) and it really helps the process. Plus, most people actually feel better. For me it especially helps with focus and mental acuity.

As for me,more bad news. I was not good last night as I had a client dinner. Two drinks, flatbread appetizer, and a very generous portion of fish and chips. Got home at 9:30 and did not exercise. This morning I weighed in at 169.2!!!

I’m just maintaining mid 170s this week. No real progress, but maintaining, and, well that’s a gain!

Bill, you better hit the water. Since the weekend starts today I know I'll be going off course as well.

Down 22lbs. so far. Mostly from watching carbs and sugars. Added exercise into the mix a week ago. Treadmill for 25 minutes, 50 sit ups and arm workouts with dumbbells. Feeling great!

Gotta be careful tomorrow. 21st birthday celebration for my nephew. They are planning on high carb comfort foods.
