I don't think he's a dork, but one of our s2ki members did in fact install a trailer hitch, and pulls a boat trailer short distances.
In addition, search for "hitch" (it works) and you will see many references to hitches used to attach bike carriers.

 

That same warning can be found in the owners manual of many different cars - and all motorcycles. It's a liability issue as much as anything.

Would I ever pull a small trailer with my S? Probably, if it meant the difference of being able to travel in the S a greater distance and take any necessary luggage with me to get there - versus taking my truck. This is the same philosophy that virtually ALL motorcyle riders have that pull trailers. They simply un-hitch them when they get to their destination and then have fun in the twisties!!! BTDT

 

But that is because you have fallen victim to the corporate malevolents that want you and other wage slaves to purchase multiple vehicles when only one would suffice. This conspiracy of manufacturers and oil producers has brain-washed you and thousands of other members of the proletariat into buying multiple vehicles, many of which use excess gas sold at huge capitalist driven profits. These profits are used to fund aggressive operations in foreign countries where the imperialist pigs rob the natives of their natural resources only to manufacture more vehicles that use more oil.

Call me a dork. And lots of other track aficionados as well. How else are you going to get your track tires to the track, if you don't want to drive them on the street? Tire trailers are fairly common and generally envied by those who don't have them.

My warranty expired long ago.
