And the best part is that in NZ you still get the 9000 rpm engines on the last cars built!

Hmmm...A friend here in SoCal swapped out his insturment cluster for a metric European one with the 9k redline, and was going to reflash the ECU to VTEC at ~4500 rpm in a MY'08.
I don't understand why we are deprived of some features (and special colors) in the U.S. Especially, since there were probably more S2000's sold here than any other country except Japan.

Where as world wide sales passed 112,000 and 2/3rds of those were in the good old USA.

Thanks for your comments (& welcome!) everyone. Yes, we always had only the 2.0 Litre 9000 rpm unit here in NZ/Australasia which produce 177kw (or 237bhp). The JDM cars - by contrast - some of which now come in here as used imports, are rated at 247bhp.
As a long term S2000 fan & owner the local folk at Honda NZ know me of old and told me the other day that, in total, only about 150 x S2000s were ever sold new in NZ. They really are quite unusual in this country, though there are more of the imports arriving these days into the hands of some of the younger drivers. I think it's quite nice to be rather exclusive.
I'm dashing this off at work, but will try and post some pictures of the red, the MC blue and the yellow in the next few days. Meantime, thanks again, all! Don't you just LOVE it!
