He asked what Christmas song I liked. I guess the "gig" involves Christmas songs. They did do a good rendition of the ""Grinch song." Maybe I'll go with that.

This is not my picture, but I thought it quite striking. A wintery scene in Quebec City. Est-ce comme ça pour toi, Emil?

Patricia, time for an indoor project, I see. We will be watching for progress pics.

^12-4-2018. This is my original pattern that I've modified a bit, as I've been cutting glass. I'm out of practice. I had some cut failures in that the glass broke in places I didn't want it to on pieces 11 and 12. I may have to change those two pieces anyway since they will be prone to break because they are long and thin. Sometimes I can save a wrong break and sometimes I have to cut another piece. I also cut my fingers twice. As I kept cutting glass I kept having to dab my right index finger on a paper towel for the blood.

My original plan was to make this 19-1/2 inches by 19-1/2 inches and then put it in a wood frame 1-1/2 inches wide to make it fit in my son and daughter-in-law's kitchen window, that is 23 inches wide. I may end up scraping the wood frame idea and adding more color on the outside instead, as a border, that amounts to the same extra 1-1/2 inches.

^12-4-2018. Once the pattern is made I need to cut out a paper pattern for each piece of glass in order to cut each piece from glass.

^12-4-2018. Here are all the pattern pieces. The next step is to start cutting each piece of glass. I love that part because that's when I get to choose the glass color and texture.

^12-8-2018. I found this great wood-looking glass at Northern Colorado Stained Glass, in Fort Collins.

Loved the tuba player photo, Lainey. Gene, the photo of Quebec City is stunning.

Here’s a few I took this morning while visiting the “Garden of the Gods” near Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was 21 degrees when I was out, but a hooded sweatshirt was all that was needed to stay warm (a dry cold).

A golden meadow.

Looking down the spine.

^10-19-2013. I don't think I've been there since.

I love Garden of the Gods, Gary! I need to visit there when I go see my sister in C.S. next time.

Every time I look for a new wall calendar I think how crummy the images are compared to yours. I love love love your images!

Last week we toured a mosaic studio. The young lady explained that she had worked on this picture for about nine months and expected it would take another 3 years to complete. Every color, every detail were individual stones. Each cut by hand in a painstakingly slow process. This was one on the most amazing things I have ever seem and this picture does not do it justice.

Note, the large lines are match lines as the mosaic is in two pieces that will later be join together.

This mosaic shows the drawing they work off and the finished product. It can be yours for a whopping 13,500 euros.
