Thanks all. Got lucky as far as the water was concerned. He was in a large group of mallards. Trying to isolate him wasn't easy and they were moving back and forth pretty quickly. Hoping for the snowy owl tomorrow, and a river otter was seen last year at one of my spots, as was a fox and her kits in the spring. I'll be out there looking!
