My neighbors upstairs asked me to oversee the pipe work in their unit since they will be out of the country when it's happening. So I will be going up and down some. Work will be overlapping with mine. I definitely would not want to be away while any work is being done in my unit, but they scheduled their trip to New Zealand (!) based on work starting in Jan and it was pushed back a month.

^ Well, I'm sure they will want to compensate me in some way, but it's not a big deal. The whole thing from start to finish is only a few days. I will not be involved in any tile demo/restoration work in their unit. Phase 1 (master bath and HVAC closet) actually went very well and I was impressed with the work the pipe company did and how they did it. I'm going to meet with the owners before they leave, so we'll see what we work out. The pipe company said that any owners who would not be present for the work had to appoint a representative. I've been very involved in every detail of this project and I think they appreciate that.

Tomorrow the pipe project managers show up for a walkthrough, and one of the contractor supervisors is coming by, too. Fri the contractor tile man comes by. So by the weekend, all the ducks should be in a row, I hope, and I can order the tile/grout.

Found out that, in addition to the pipe work in the guest bath and kitchen, I have to remove everything from part of the dressing room closet so access can be made to a riser for the apt next door. Not that thrilled, but it's only drywall so not that big a deal. Will be a good reason to weed out some of the +1's clothes, since that part of the closet is his. Probably will do some weeding on my clothes, too, at some point after all the pipe and bath restoration workers finally get out of the apt.

Still on for Wed for fixture wall removal in the guest bath (first pic above) to prepare for pipe work Fri. The kitchen/laundry pipe work has been postponed to a later date, which is good since I did not want work being done in multiple rooms at once.

Pushed back again! They are skipping to another tier first. So probably end of March now. Good thing I did not plan any trips until July!
