I believe if you do the cash payout, after all taxes (after you pay the fed when you get the money, they will nail you again for more at tax time, plus state taxes) you would end up with about $500 million all said and done. I mean, how would you live ???

California Lottery officials confirmed that someone bought the winning ticket at Joe's Service Center in Altadena, matching all six of the Powerball numbers picked in the delayed drawing earlier that morning. The jackpot was reported as an estimated $1.9 billion Monday night, but rose to $2.04 billion Tuesday morning following updated calculations.
The winning numbers in the drawing held in Tallahassee, Fla., were 10, 33, 41, 47 and 56. The red Powerball number was 10.

30-40 years ago when lotteries started I had two geek friends who tracked every number thinking a computer could narrow down the winning numbers after a couple years they proved to themself the numbers are random and have no memory.
