Thanks! We were really trying to go with a natural look...We have a lot of flag stone around the back yard, all of our planters, flagstone path in the front, flagstone patio in the back (for my BBQ smoker!) etc. We're going have a 'sundek' coating put on the 'ever-so-painful-but-pretty-pebbles' around the pool that should blend with the rest of the yard. When we bought the house the back yard was owned by to large dogs, it's been our first priority! The next week should be lots of sandblasting and cleaning...

I'll post right before we start filling the pool and then after...between now and then I'll make sure to post in the intro's a little about me and the +1

OK...Plaster starts tomorrow!! The material on the pool right now is a bonding agent for the plaster. After we're finished with the pool we plan on putting some stuff over the pebbles called 'sundek' (if you have experience with this stuff I'd love to hear you comments...I've only heard positive so far, I think it use to be called cool deck) and stain the fence...then it's party time!!

I'll post a update picture in a few weeks after I've swept it for two weeks and have the water balanced

It's filling!!! They still have to add the 'deck-o-seal' around the coping and pool deck but all in all we're very happy! I can't wait for that first swim

Well after a couple of weather delays, the FFF II, and a minor framing revision the storm door on the front entrance is hung! The install went really well compared to some of my projects and was actually easier than I thought it would be.

I wasn't really sold on the idea at first but I really like the look.

Here are some before and after pictures:

^My sister in Falcon, near Colorado Springs has one of those. I guess to keep the wind and snow from blowing around the front door. Why do you need one?
