The new box will be in the cabinet above, then the line will run down to the microwave. The line is running from the wall on the left along the top of the cabinet.

Nope…120. Somehow my kitchen installer managed to convert 240 into 120. Don’t ask me how!

We had a basic GE microwave for years. When it came time to replace it we got another GE but with lots of the newest features. We hated it. We exchanged it for another basic model and are very happy with it.

It's really rather simple but it is unsafe from an overload/fire standpoint and does not meet code.

#4 came from behind and is the apparent winner! They are the only contractor we talked to that took the time to have their designer sit down with us and, with our input, sketch out different options, including the materials with samples we could see and compare. Now awaiting their quote. We should make the final decision in a couple weeks.

Vanity door material, shower tile, floor tile, and vanity counter top (on the bottom)

The shower will look similar to this:

We will also be replacing our built-in tub with a free-standing jetted tub.

Electrical box is in for the microwave. Has to be ordered so probably 10 days or so before installed.

Make sure to caulk around that BX (conduit) to keep critters out. You never know what is crawling around in the walls!

Oh that's easy.
a 240 line has +120 above gnd, the actual gnd or neutral and 120 below gnd
take one of the 120 signals and a gnd and you have a 120v outlet. and cap off the other 120V line.
I know it's too late now but it would have been better if he put in a 20 amp circuit instead of a routine 15 amp service.
Then you could have gone with a microwave/ convection oven.

You mean the electrician who just came out? I have a very nice Miele oven/convection oven below the microwave. The original oven setup before I remodeled the kitchen was two regular wall ovens, so two 240V fuses together. EDIT…I just checked the fuse box. The new fuse says 120/240, and the button has a 20 on it. So looks like it is 20 amps.

Do not think the conduit caulking will be a problem critterwise. It runs on top of the cabinet so not behind a wall for about five feet. But not a bad idea in general.
