I saw paint for up to 1500 degrees on that site. How easy is it to do yourself? Not that I can.
The hardest part is removing the rotors. The 'screw' that holds them in place can be VERY difficult to get loose. I actually used a sledge hammer and a very large phillips head screw driver to get the 'screw' out. I also hadn't had the car very long, so my 'screw' wasn't as well seated (or rusted) as others I have seen. You actually do not HAVE to remove the rotors, it's just easier to get the paint applied (sprayed). You can leave them on the car, but you will have A LOT of masking to do.

Leaving them on is probably the easier (less mechanical) way to do it, it's just more time and material consuming.

Taking them off will make it easier to be sure that the paint is applied right wheere you want it.

Why do you only use OEM rotors for tracking? I was planing to by slotted rotors for daily + tracking, would that be a bad thing
Over, and over, and over I see and read about people cracking slotted rotors. I have over the years heard way more horror stories than happy stories. So that is one factor. The second factor is price. I may go through two sets of front rotors in a year, buying OEM at wholesale price equals to a very big savings, plus, they are reliable!
