Default S2000 Values

I dropped the collision on my S. My insurance company uses the NADA trade in value as their guide to Actual Cash Value (ACV) My 2003 with 31,000 miles is listed at $8,700. You may want to check your ACV.

That is unbelievable. I'll have to check mine out with 25k. Makes no sense at all to me.

I'll keep it before I let it go at that price. Kelly is giving me a 10-12k range. Now if someone offers me anything close to 20...... it's

I have an 03 with 67K on the clock. Maybe I can trade it in for a nice cup of coffee.

I noticed the dealers were selling them for around 13-17 with that kind of mileage though. Grrrrr.

That's certainly the hope. After watching Barrett Jackson and seeing what some 30-40 year old cars are going for, I was hoping to keep it and long and then try to live that long.

If it takes 30 to 40 years to recover, it will be too late for me!

I'm not selling my car, but I don't see any sense in paying for collision insurance on a car that has lost that much value.

Not to recover but to become much, much more valuable than what we paid for it. It takes 20 years to be eligible to be declared historic. I figure some owners are almost halfway there. We live in hope but no, I'd drop collision if I could right now.
