Default Shades of Spiro T. Agnew

It's been a while since a VP was cited in a criminal investigation this big.

Won't that be great.

I loved it back in the day when Spiro told off the press............. that seems like a zillion years ago.

I think Cheney will get through this without a scratch. He's much smarter than Spiro was, and much more cunning.

I'm inclined to agree. Although, Spiro attempted to look intelligent by using fancy words like effete and pusilanimous. He resorted to others, but those were my favorites.

Agnew was way out of his league. I oftentimes thought that he was Nixon's mouthpiece, saying the things that Nixon wanted to say but couldn't.

I think they should all be executed, as Al Franken has suggested.

Obviously, this is very big news here in the DC area. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

Now there is a word that you don't here everyday, okay you don't hear any day.

As for Darth Cheney, the "I don't know Joe Wilson" quote from Meet the Press might prove a little damaging.

As Agnew was Nixon's mouthpiece Bush is Cheney's

If it weren't for Spiro Agnew, would we have the terms "effete intellectual snob" and "obfuscation" in our vocabularies?
