[QUOTE=Legal Bill,Jun 22 2006, 01:36 PM] My thought would be to move the Fall event a bit south and/or west.

^ SF07 is in the C-ville area. That decision was made last year in voting by the members. So I would think you would not want to do the Fall thing in the same place.

Ken,

Charlottesville is already the decided location for SF, and there is already work underway to find a hotel to accomodate us. To visit that area for a fall gathering may be a bit reduntant.

A locale between us in the northeast and those to the south for a fall gathering sounds like a good compromise, but folks are still throwing ideas about.

Now with talk of FC the same weekend that was initially suggested for a Vintage fall gathering, not sure what will happen.

There seems to be a bit of a move afoot to move it to be close to VIR which is in Danville. That's a good 2 hours from Charlottesville or about 4 hours for you and me. Granted we'd have an advantage because it's close but it's going to be close to someone no matter where it's held.

A case of too many things to do and not enough dates... . I'm up for a Fall Colors tour but I'd like to go somewhere where there are indeed Fall Colors. Maybe Berkley Springs, WVa (almost heaven) with lots of nice back roads (almost all roads in WVa are back roads (whrDLMI is going to yell at me for this) and some beautiful scenery or maybe Harpers Ferry which has the compulsory educational value and some nice roads and even a decent restaurant or two.

We had last year's SF in Berkeley Springs...very fun! WV does indeed have some great roads. I drive through the mountains there when I'm headed up to (or trying to head up to - ) OH.

Harper's Ferry: 10 miles to Summit Point. The Bavarian Inn in Shepardstown. Routes 9, 230 and 34. Antietam. Front Royalto the south. Expect lots of people in these areas though.

Re your N/A 'S', Tachus is N/A too.
We two can get there in two, too, same as you, if ETA is TBD!
Supercharged 'S's need the extra half hour but we're N/A so its not applicable to us.

We will watch for the where and when of the Fall Gathering and hope that we can participate.
