One might be able to understand my frustration with the orthos I dealt with.
I talked with a buddy who had a busted clavicle in high school. They 'let it heal.' He said it bothers him to this day because it wasn't properly aligned, so 35+ years.

My wife told me that come next December I have to treat her like a queen to make up for this year.

December and all the months before December!

I have a friend who broke her clavicle on a high speed descent riding her ElliptiGO when she hit a speed bump. Her first ortho said to let it heal. It was obviously not going to heal with the ends as far apart as they were. Months later she got a second opinion and had surgery and a plate. She had fractured ribs, too.

These are x-rays from my ex-boyfriend's broken clavicle in Nov 2017. He was riding his motorcycle in the desert, alone, when he crashed and broke it. He had to get back on and ride 30 miles back to camp after dropping the Yamaha twice more. I smile when I think about it. I had broken my foot on Oct 26, 2017 while we were riding off-road, together at Kennedy Meadows. I was then stuck in CA for six weeks, instead of driving back to CO on Oct. 30th. Three weeks later, instead of staying with me over Thanksgiving, he went to the desert to camp and ride. He called on the day after Thanksgiving to say he was coming home with a broken collar bone. Of course I took care of him.

I haven't got the bottom Xray shot yet.

I treat her like a queen every day. as her adoring subject. My job is to make her smile and laugh.
I honestly can't imagine my life without her. (stated without the influence of any meds or alcohol)
I pull her off into doing crazy car rides and things and she is my stable north star.
We have an intense, at times contentious, sincere, honest and open relationship.

Not too bad.
The initial nerve block wore off by yesterday morning so pretty uncomfortable yesterday.
I got a good night's sleep in my recliner last night. I've been keeping it pretty frozen.
It doesn't even really look bad.
Spoiler

I figure I'll be utterly useless for another week or so. And then resuming my normal level of useless.

My sister was going crazy with itching from that clear tape by day 3. I didn't have it on my staples. I hope your skin is fine with it, you hairy beast.

Since I have to keep the tape for another week....although most of it is now on areas with no feeling since the nerves got cut.

The hairy beast comment could be related to the recently grown facial hair or the absence of chest hair.
I am looking forward to a shower though. Getting a bit ripe.

Facial hair. Showers are essential for well being.

It is amazing how un-romantic a shower can be, but I am clean now.
It's also amazing how bored you can get in 3 weeks.

This is what I get for not reading every thread...

Jerry- I'm three weeks behind here. I had no idea. Good to know you're still with us, and that you're on the road to recovery.
