Love the touch pad on the MacBook Pro. So many short cuts.

I voted both, but don't use a touchpad much. And yes, Lainey, the command line is DOS. The old days for sure!

The seminar I mentioned, was supposed to be about new software for bookkeeping. It was 1988, and the bookkeeping program was Peachtree.

The guy conducting the seminar in the AM went on and on about DOS and then someone after him gave us a brief course in accounting/bookkeeping. It was pretty bad and truly boring.

The guy next to me didn't come back after lunch. Fortunately, after lunch, they finally got into how to use the bookkeeping program.

I've been using Peachtree (now Sage) since. The next seminar I attended (when the software became Windows based) was much better, and hands on, no touch pads in sight.

A mouse for me. I can't stand a touch pad. I wish I could buy a new MBP without one.
My favorite mouse is the Apple Magic Mouse - no scroll wheel and no "clickers". And it's BlueTooth, which I also prefer.
I had no idea I was so persnickety about mice until now.

Both of my laptops have a tiny joystick in the middle of the keyboard (the Dell also has a touchpad). I find that to be more useful than the touchpad, although the newer touchpads with the scrolling capability (down the right side) are quite helpful.

But given the choice, I plug in a mini-mouse. HPH

^^^ I agree. I always carry a wireless mouse in my laptop bag. Touch pads definitely make me grouchy!

Mouse at the office and home desk top; touch pad for the most part on my lap top. New to the touch pad but I'm getting better at it.

I answered it depends............. but I misread your survey. I was thinking 'touchscreen'. As for touch pads....hate them.
