Thumbs up Touch pad or mouse?

From day one of computer use, I used a mouse. I rarely used a lap top, so a touch pad is rather foreign to me. I now have one on the net book. I also bought a wireless mouse.

I'm not very good using the touch pad, and I think I prefer the mouse. Maybethe touch pad just takes practice and I'll get used to it?

Do you have a preference?

I'm guessing you missed the days before GUIs because you were too young.

In the old days we had to do everything from a command line.

Stick with the mouse unless/until you can get a touchscreen. Those are but expensive.

I use the touch pad on my laptop when I'm in an airport but if I've got a desk I'll always get out the mouse.

I guess I am too young! I do remember a black screen and my eyes glazing over as someone tried to explain DOS at a seminar for bookkeeping software once... Is that similar to what you are speaking of?

Sitting in my recliner with the net book, I use the touch pad, it's an adventure as to where I end up. Anywhere else, I use the mouse.
