We'll keep that in mind, Val. We need some quiet/no rush time. Our last vacation was to the Grand Canyon and we were on the go all the time. This time I expect to be on the go, but if we don't get somewhere or see something, I won't worry about it.
Besides I've got to save some energy for those crazy car folks we'll be meeting up with at the Wintergreen resort! Now those folks wear me out!

You and me both!!! I'm excited about it and looking forward to seeing so many of my "buds" again whether its here or someplace else. I'm really glad its going to be close this year since the trip to Fossilfest is going to be a killer driving-wise.

(Not to mention the local constabulary are always hiding out trying to catch you doing something with more speed than they allow . . . and they get downright arrogant from the moment you make them have to get out of their comfy cars
) I'm serious. They unbuckle their gun holsters as soon as they emerge from their vehicles.

Also remember that the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway are patrolled by the U.S. Park Police and that is a Federal ticket. (No getting out of it).
