Vacation Plans 2012
Lainey (or anyone else) that should find themselves in Camden, Maine. We stayed at a Best Western that was two blocks off the main drag. It was more of a B&B or Inn feel than a hotel/motel. Quaint lobby area in an old converted building. The bonus was on the back side of the lobby area there was a small back yard with several Adirondack chairs around a small camp fire every night. They also had canisters with all the makings for Smores for the making. After sundown when the children went off to bed some of the adults (well, OK "big kids") would go get their adult beverages and sit around the camp fire until the "big kid's" bed time (around midnight)and converse.
Like most Best Western's the room included breakfast and in the loft where breakfast was served they had a huge wall map of the world with several boxes pins with colored heads so that people could mark the spot in the world that they had visited from, as well as a guest book to make comments. Camden, Maine may be off the beaten path but this Best Western has sure been found by lots of people for around the world.
