Got the final itinerary for our May Rocky Mountaineer bus/train trip from Calgary to Seattle. Staying at Fairmont hotels, except for the little town of Kamloops. Gourmet breakfast and lunch on board the train. Nice dinners reserved in Banff and Lake Louise. Highlights:

Calgary Tower - famous 525' landmark
Helicopter tour of the Rockies on the way to Banff
Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos
Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain
Pass to the National Parks for use anytime on the trip
Emerald Lake and the Spiral Tunnels
Train from Banff to Kamloops
Train from Kamloops to Vancouver
Vancouver Lookout - famous 430' landmark
Day trip to Vancouver's North Shore, including Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge
Train from Vancouver to Seattle
Staying an extra day in Seattle to visit with nephew and family and to sightsee

Our plans are to take a 2,200+ mile round trip from MI to FL in June in an MG that is nearly 60 years old. Can you spell "adventure".

Emil, he lives in Delaware, about 20 miles from Bethany! He will definitely be there.

The +1 is trying to decide between Morocco and Croatia. Anybody want to weigh in?

I'm always looking for a trip to combine a run for the +1 with an area I'd like to visit. So I found an 8-mile run on Mackinac Island, MI for Sept 10 weekend. Stay at the famous Grand Hotel, of course. To be determined whether we will do it or not.

Morris, I've not been to either one, but I think I would choose Croatia. I'd look at the State Dept travel page for each country for info before deciding - travel.state.gov.
