Big wet fluffy flakes of snow.........not happy.

It's a great day to clean, but I just don't feel like cleaning.

Prediction is for high 80's at my house near Mission Viejo, CA on Thursday. I'm so glad I came to see my sister in Colorado for some relief from the endless summer in so Cal.

We've just got the howling wind.

 

We had snow for about three hours but no accumulation.

 

Not sure if the high wind is the problem, but we have a large power outage that has affected the roads around our condo (Route 50 and all feeder roads). There is no traffic being allowed on Route 50 in either direction, which is a major divided highway in and out of DC. I assume because there are no traffic lights working. It's a mess. Not sure how far west it goes. I've been watching all the people coming out of DC being routed onto the little ramp that goes up to Rosslyn. I tried to get out of the garage awhile ago to go visit my mother, but the street is blocked on both ends. It's been a few hours already. Hope they get it fixed soon, otherwise tomorrow's rush hour will be an epic failure!

 

It's that time of year. The snow blower gets moved to the front of the garage. It started on the first pull after sitting since last year, but its a Honda so I'd expect no less.

Today started at about 37*F and windy. Now about 44* F and windy.

 

How did you manage to miss the snow? You're between Lainey and us and I've got snow on the lawn [but nothing on the roads].
