We had temps into the 40's yesterday and today but its still cold at night low 20's. The sun does help even when its cold. Still have a base of snow in the woods well over two feet but it goes fast.

It hailed twice today and we had massive down pours. I heard a really loud clap of thunder and my next door neighbor's back yard got hit by a huge lightning bolt! It's quiet now.

Got almost four inches of rain at Reagan National the last 48 hours. Over five at Dulles. Doesn't rival the two feet (!!!) in Pensacola, FL, but it set records here. Finally clearing up just in time for Spring Fling.

It's been about 90 +/- here with high, dry winds for three days, as it will be today. I'm glad to be going to much cooler Harrisburg, this afternoon.

We got dumped on overnight. LOTS of rain. I'm very optimistic looking at the PA weather for SF. Maybe not as warm as we'd like, but it looks good.

Long sleeves and jeans will be in order, but that's OK. It's not like I've been wearing shorts and T shirts and summer clothing around here, unlike others.....

I had planned on wearing a sleeveless dress and sandals on my flights, since it's been so warm here in So Cal, but I have on light pants and shoes, instead. I don't want to freeze my butt off when I finally get to Philly. So far my flights have both been delayed by 20 minutes. I hope it stays that way and I don't get stuck in Vegas.

I tend to always be cold on airplanes so I dress in layers. I almost always wear sneakers and I always wear comfortable, moderately rugged pants. I tend to think worst case scenario. What if something goes wrong and I need to be as prepared as I reasonably can be for it? So absolute worst case -- crash -- I want to be in long sleeves, long pants, and sneakers. If the plane is delayed sitting on the tarmac, I want to be able to take off my sweatshirt or jacket easily. It can also be rolled up and stuck behind the small of my back if I'm uncomfortable (of course, I sometimes do that with my purse too -- makes for great lumbar support in a pinch). And if I somehow miss my connection or the flight is diverted or whatever, I am dressed ready for just about anything. And if my luggage gets lost, I'm also okay until I can buy whatever I need or my luggage turns up.
