Looks like another 3 - 5 inches of snow for us as well, warming into the mid 30's!

-9°F last night ( Emil that's 23 below for you )
more weather due over the next 24 hours but earlier reports of pending rain appear to be unlikely.
So we'll get a little dusting of snow, you know 3-6 inches.
enough to be annoying but not enough for a panicked run on the grocery stores.

Not for you, maybe - for us it's a catastrophe!

our definition of normal has gotten so screwed up.
oh yeah the trains are cancelled again.
it's 10 below zero again.
we're only getting a 3 inch dusting.
thank god heating oil is cheaper this year.

could you even begin to imagine if the DC metro got shut down with limited service for a month?

Spent another 1.5 hours with the snow blower. I've gone through two 5 gallon cans of gas, and started a 3rd, so far this season. (Typically don't finish 1 can.) Ice is getting thick on the roof. I was going to try the panty hose full of calcium chloride, but everyone is sold out again. Besides, it is very difficult getting around in 2-3' of snow in the yard while carrying a ladder. Hasn't been above freezing in more than a month, and won't get there during the next week according to the forecast.
