Nope.
I think just seeing people participate is a start. Maybe we the people are going to finally take back our country.
Why do you feel the way you feel?

Carm, I'm with you on this. Surely there would be an easy way to flag your internet vote so that you couldn't also vote in person.
Unfortunately, there are still many folks, like Deb said, who don't trust (or use) the internet.

We almost had a fight in line too. A couple guys were following instructions and moved to another line for A-K (which required them to move up past a bunch of people). One hick thought they were trying to cut in and started talking smack and wanted to fight. Idiots.
One nice thing they had at our polling place. A poll worker had a handheld device where she keyed your last name, then your name, address, etc came up on the screen. Ensuring you were registered to vote before you got inside. Also, a poll worked stood out front to make certain peeps were at their proper place. In Rosslyn there are two polling places right next door to each other. Some were mixed up as to which place to go.
Voted here about 3:15pm. Got to the polling place and 3 people were coming out the door, I went in, noone there except for the election workers, signed in, voted total time less than 2 minutes. When I got to parking lot a man was just walking up to the door.

do go between 930-1045 am 130-245 pm and 645-8pm polls close at 8pm here

We'll be with the rest of the working folks, at the polls around 6:30 PM. NO time before work for Rick, it has to wait until after he's back at home.

I already use the web to pay my property taxes, register for the county's emergency notification system, and tell the post office to hold my mail. It's time to let me vote on the web too. The only disadvantage I see is that it would be a prime target for hackers.
Anyway... I got to my polling place at about 1:00. Only 2 of the 8 machines were in use.

They already do that here to make sure that you don't vote in person if you have asked for an absentee ballot.

I would like to believe that we could use online voting but I don't think we are there yet.
first of all have you ever tried to get onto a busy server for tickets etc.
collisions tend to just bury the servers and they become useless.
The other aspect would be protecting the anonymity of the voter which would be imposssible if you had to log in to vote not to mention lack of audit capability.
