They were considered the best fighting unit in WWII winning many battles against the Nazis and won twice as many medals than any other unit. LT. Audie Murphy was one of the recipients and was the most decorated soldier in U.S. history. He was only 5’3 and weighed 125 lbs. I love Kershaw's books. The Longest Winter, The Few and The Bedford Boys are all excellent.

Thanks, I plan to order some of his books, especially Our navy destroyers against theirs. My Dad served under Admiral Bull Halsey on a destroyer named the USS Higbee DD806. His 2 brothers served there too.. He was a Helmsman. He saw lots of action and wrote a diary about it. There was a photographers mate on board and he took photos of many of our ships and Japanese. One photo showed a twin engine Jap Kamikaze plane bearing down on his ship. The front 5inch/38 fired on it and at the moment the shell hit the plane the photographer captured it exploding before it hit the ship. I have his diary.

On the recommendation of my brother-in-law, financial advisor and friend, I'm reading this book on my Kindle. I am finding it very interesting to learn about Elon Musk's drive and personality. I knew he was a force when I had the urge to buy Tesla stocks in July 2010 but I had no idea what else he's done except for a bit about SpaceX.
