It's snowing lightly right now but should get heavier around 3 P.M. Finally! Great ending to 2021.

My honey, Michael, is driving down from Fort Collins. He's an awesome cook and bartender as he loved doing that in his married life. I bought 4 lbs of nasty looking head-on shrimp. He's making dinner at my house for the first time. He made us linguine and shrimp the first time I went to his place so I'm hoping these shrimp live up to the ones he bought. We are just going to relax and do whatever we want. It would be nice to go in the cuzzi when it's snowing. We have other ideas, of course.

We are making Surf and Turf at home. Bar's open. Other stuff on tap as the night goes on - shrimp and dip, crackers and spinich dip, etc. No one's going hungry here. Thankfully the Red Wings game is scheduled still, so we will tape that. And, I always have other ideas too.

^ No plans to watch Georgia vs. Michigan? Should be a better game than Bama vs. Cincy was.

But DC is now an Omicron hotspot, along with a lot of other places, so we are celebrating by going to our local yummy Italian pasta place for NYE dinner. Then watching Andy and Anderson bring in the New Year. They were very funny last time I saw them and got drunk downing shots. It will be weird with only 15,000 people in Times Square.
Italian dinner was yummy. Some of the staff wore shirts that said “Legalize marinara.”

Kicked off the weekend by making some filet mignon. Simple easy to cook.
just some asparagus and potatoes to go with it.

For dessert we had some of Barb's homemade ice cream.
If my cardiologist asks I'm denying everything.

You woulda thought, eh? Still 27-3 at the end of the third quarter. Not looking like much of a game.
Don't sleep on the Sugar Bowl tomorrow if you like CFB. Ole Miss vs. Baylor could be a good one to watch.

Someone in this household was pretty grouchy during the game. And, I will give you a little clue…it was not me.

I am not a big football fan, and I was not watching the game. Every now and then, I checked the score while on my computer upstairs so that I would know the mood downstairs.
