We took a ride to RI today. Made a couple stops near the water. The last stop was at a lovely brewery on a farm. What a great set up. Bright inside, a deck outside, a second deck above. It must be one crowded place in the evening.
Rick enjoyed both a porter and a stout and bought two of each to take home.
I call it the big city but it really isn't which is why I put it in quotes. When I say the big city it is either Brattleboro or Bennington, both are about 45 minutes to an hour away from me. They have bigger supermarkets there with cheaper prices than in the towns near me and they both have an Aldi's which is were I went today and also the horse show is in town www.vt-summerfestival.com so the town near me is absolutely mobbed with people. Rutland is another city about an hour north of me but we refer to that as Rut-Vegas.
I like a good porter but not in the heat of a southern summer. These days I tend to go with golden and amber ales. I like the citrus in a lightly hoppy lager more in the summer than in winter.

Lots of IPAs out there and fruity and sours. Rick will try them here and there but not his first choice. He likes to try different brews. He just would pass on beer if it came from the brewery in Gettysburg which Dave will clearly remember.
I'm in my house happy to have A/C to run and the money to pay for it although it's not too expensive here due to the fact that it's supplied by Poudre Valley Rural Electric, part of a cooperative. It's hot and humid (to me) and I don't want to be outside in it. I WILL get my butt downstairs and vacuum up the dead grasshoppers and stuff my four cats have brought in through the catio window.
^7-16-2022. For here, that's humid!
^7-16-2022. Come on, rain!
Yesterday, I rode 16 miles on my ElliptiGO before driving 71 miles for SAINT and then dropping off a dress to get shortened. When I got home I had a beer and Cheetos. Yum!
^7-15-2022. Too hot for people who are late for their rides, or no shows, for me to sit in my Pilot and wait for them. It got up to 96*F while I was driving for 5.5 hours.
^7-15-2022. I'm not a beer drinker as much as a wine drinker but beer is better in the heat.
We had a great turnout at the cars n coffee meet yesterday. Had some new people show up one had an AP-2 S that was all modified with turbo etc. Another guy was a life long honda guy he brought a right hand drive integra r 4 door and he was showing me pics of his S2K track car. Another car I liked was a 73 jensen healey it was a work in progress and I always found those engines in them interesting the way they are set up.
Chatted with a younger man who has a neon that he souped up and he said it has been a project that he works on with his young son, which is always nice to hear.
I recall the excitement I had waiting to see what the Jensen Healey was going to look like. I was sure I would buy one if I liked it. Instead it turned out to be the blandest styling ever for a sports car with the ugliest front bumper. I wouldn't want one if it was free.
I have car collector friend who has one and drives it a lot. The only reason I can think of he does not want to take risks with his XKE, dozens of Triumphs & MGs, and another 20 or 30 wonderful British cars.

It's always hard to figure out what you are really thinking Dave
