as I've often lusted for an old sprite I also think back to the superb reliability of the machine.
Dave helps reinforce that for me. maybe I need to swap in an s2000 powertrain...

I'm going to an all MG car show tomorrow in Grand Rapids hosted by the MG legend John Twist. He has not done one in several years since he sold his shop and retired. I expect there will be hundreds of MGs from all era's. I've known John since the mid-70s, so we go way back. A retired MG racer tuned my SU's on Tuesday. Wow, it really picked up the acceleration and the new K&N air filters claim to add HP as well. I am looking forward to the shake down cruise to the show since its a 2 hour drive via backroads.

John Twist is definitely the ‘man’ when it comes to MG’s. Wasn’t aware he retired.
Did someone else take over University Motors?

A good friend and mechanic who worked for him named Forest Johnson took over his customers. He opened his own shop called Rusty Moose in Grand Haven.
He does great work. Here's a link to his shop. When I saw him in Memphis he said he too was retiring and has an excellent mechanic who will be taking the load on.

The oral surgeon did not expect the procedure to take all that long 30 min (?), appointment is at 12:45, no eating or drinking three hours prior to appt.

My sister is working on her second implant. She said the second appointment when they screw in the implant is one where you might want the heavy duty sedation. My friend who had implants by the same oral surgeon I'm seeing said she was fine with the valium, local and nitrous for both procedures.

I will be on antibiotics, 600 mg motrin and Tylenol with codeine if needed.

I think the most painful part will be paying for all this.....
I think I'm correct. The most painful part will be the bills associated with this project. I'm comfortable today. Taking the Motrin as directed. Slept pretty well....in a recliner. The doc suggested an extra pillow and not sleeping on the surgical side, I find it easier to sleep in a chair. I only took one Tylenol w/codeine at bedtime. Soft food gets boring quickly. Scrambled eggs, and soup so far today, moving on to pasta this evening.

Be sure you have some food with Motrin. It's hard on your stomach

Got out more than I expected to this weekend. No swelling or discomfort from the tooth extraction/graft. Tolerating the Motrin and antibiotics. I heard of a small pond with lotus flowers so we planned on heading there. As it happens I was given the wrong info, however, the park had plenty of water lilies and dragonflies. Nature at it's best for me. From there headed to a favorite spot on the water in Marshfield, MA and had lunch on the water, overlooking a marina. I did get the locale of a pond with lotus flowers in RI, hope to head there later this week. Pics from today. Oops, meant to post in pic thread...

Love the color of the dragonfly and the background too

I think that is a male blue corporal. The orange one is an Eastern Amberwing and this one a Halloween Penant. Love the critters and insects of summer!
